(October 8th, 2008) -- Miller Motorsports Park located in Toole, Utah is considered one of the nicest facilities that Star of Karting visits on the tour. Tyler has had some good performances at this facility setting fast time and winning his first Stars race and finishing second in the Cadet category in 2007. This year the race being earlier in the year the weather was a lot different being in the 30’s and even snow flurries. Lots of teams including Tyler’s were having fuel separation problems due to the low temps. After clearing a few hurdles early practice day Tyler was consistently top 10 to top 15 in the running order after Fridays practice.

Saturday Tyler seemed to be having some issues with the carburetor that we did not seem to ever get to the bottom of. Tyler’s qualitfying efforts were not as high on the charts as he expected and produced a 15 th place starting position in all 3 heats. Heat 1 he finished 20 th after a turn 1 lap 1 multi kart tangle at the start. Heat 2 another turn 1 incedent left Tyler with a flat left front tire that would cause Tyler to pull in early and as a result also a dnf.

Sunday with a new team goal to get through this weekend with a little better luck early morning practice was better for Tyler. After resolving the carb issue Tyler finished heat 3 more competatively in the 9 th position. Due to the unfortunate finishes in the heats on Saturday Tyler would start 22 nd in both finals. Final 1 Tyler held his own and made some great moves to finish 16 th. Final 2 we made a lot of head way on setup now that the engines were running better after resolving the faulty diaphragm issue in the carb. Tyler moved up to 12 th from his 22 nd starting position which kind of ended this weekend on a high note. Tyler is looking forward to the next Stars race in New Castle one of his favorite tracks that he has had a lot of luck at.
