(October 8th, 2008) -- Tyler always looks forward to racing at the Lowes Motorspeedway Sprint Track this time he was especially anxiouse due to his moving up in class to HPV JR. lite and heavy, and Yamaha Jr lite and heavy. Tyler has had a lot of fun this weekend in his new challenge and on practice day he was top 5 in HPV and top 10 in Yamaha. It was confirmation to the team that he was truly up to the challenge.

Saturday went pretty well for Tyler Qualifying 4 th in HPV and with a slower kart getting in the way on the money lap in Yamaha he qual. 13 th. HPV prefinal Tyler finished an impressive 4 th and in Yamaha he had a few issues and fell back 1 spot from his qualification spot to 14 th. After making a few changes to his karts Tyler started 4 th in HPV and with some very aggressive moves from the front row Tyler was knocked out on lap 1 turn 1 and could not continue. Yamaha was a little better for Tyler moving up patiently the whole race. The setup could have been a little better but Tyler still managed to pull of a 8 th place finish.

Sunday in practice again Tyler was one of the front runners in both classes. Ready for qualifying Tyler had issues in both classes timing in 14 th in each class. That was disappointing after running so well in practice. Tyler would rebound to move up 10 spots in the prefinal in HPV to finish 4 th and 5 spots in Yamaha to finish 9 th. HPV final was really exiting with Tyler running a close 2 nd and 3 rd for most of the race until an aggressive move by another compedator took Tyler out for the race and ultimately the other driver was disqualified. Yamaha Tyler was slowly moving up through the field and at one time into 4 th . One mistake on track cost Tyler several spots in the running order and would ultimately finish 7 th.

We are very exited about Tylers speed in his new classes and look forward to the 3 rd round of competition in the Florida Winter Tour running JICA.
