(April 16th, 2007) -- Tyler and crew made the trip to Utah a week early to do some very serious testing with our chassis and engine program. What a great facility Miller Motorsports Park is and an awesome track one of Tylers new favorites for sure. After 3 days of testing including a local club race which also included a few of the top drivers in the stars series and wka man cup series Tyler felt pretty confident with our new developments and new Fleming motor and was looking forward to the Stars race the following weekend . Finally it was time to hit the track on practice day and tyler was consistently in the top 7 on the speed charts by the end of practice. Saturday turned out to be a great day and hopefully a return to the performance that Tyler expects. Tyler set fast time in qualifying to win the gators pole award by a tenth of a second over Sage Karam. The prefinal was all Tyler pulling out to a commanding lead to win the prefinal. The final seemed to be a replay of the season opener at Norman with Tyler and Sage pulling away from the rest of the field by the end of the race . Tyler made his move at the end of the front straight and lead ¾ of the final lap and Sage sqeezed bt Tyler when he left a little to much room on exit. Tyler was proud to finish 2 nd after all of the adversity he has delt with recently.

Sunday would turn out to be even better with Tyler setting fast time by over ½ of a second. The prefinal was full of excitement with Tyler finishing a very tight 6 th. The final was very tense with the top 6 kart changing position several times a lap Tyler would go from2 nd to 6 th and back again several times during the race. By the end of the race it was a 4 kart battle Tyler running 4 th going into turn 12 the first two kart tangling and opening the door for Camdon and Tyler . Coming out onto the front straight Tyler drafted by his team mate to win his first Stars race by .01 seconds. This win sends Tyler to the top of the points for the Stars West Series. This was just what Tyler needed to get over the bad luck and get back on track and hopefully be at the front for the rest of the year.
