(October 25th, 2006) -- This track is one of our favorite tracks to attend however, this trip would be bitter sweet with the news that the race would be the last race at this track ever as the city of Carrollton would be tearing this track out to use the land for other things. Tyler seemed to be the quickest in practice on Saturday so we didn’t change much for Sunday’s event. Sunday morning Tyler set out the first practice session, due to the some moisture on the track and we wanted to use session 2 to scuff in some new VEGA tires for the day’s race.

Qualifying, we were taken by surprise that Michael Pederson set fast time in qualifying by almost 2 tenths, he picked up over 7 tenths from practice and the day before. At that time we knew that we would have a race on our hands for the day. The prefinal, Tyler started second and quickly jumped out into the lead Tyler and Michael really put on a show of their talents with position changes multiple times on certain laps. Tyler pulled out the win by .266 sec. We were certain that the final would prove to be just as close of a race but we had made some chassis and gear changes, we were not sure how the outcome would be.

The first few laps Tyler seemed to be able to pull out a little on Michael, then Michael would get it right back. The two ran nose to tail for several laps before Michael spun coming onto the long back straight. At that time it pretty much sealed the deal for Tyler to bring home yet another win in the KART MASS Series and one more step closer to the VEGA Cup!!
